Isolation

the unbearable weight of not belonging anywhere.

i have spent so much of my life being somewhere but never quite belonging there.

at school. at home. beside someone i love. surrounded, included, spoken to, even held, and still somehow far away.

isolation is the heaviness of being present but never feeling like you are part of anything.

sometimes loneliness is not having no one.

sometimes it is having everyone, and still feeling alone.
